The best! If you like a stewed tomato sauce and a cold cheese approach, you won’t be disappointed. The can cook down the cheese if you want, but I don’t suggest against their signature pizza. Cheers!
I love these slices of pizza. The crust is crunchy and the cheese goes on unmelted. It’s very popular in wheeling and it’s onot 1.55 a slice. If you don’t want pepperoni then you can get another topping for free-like mushrooms.
Excellent pizza. Not a lot of ingredients available but good for what it is. Reminds me of home made pizza but in the best way.
Patsy's Pizza in elm Grove is really starting to suffer! Used to be so so good. Now the people are great and the service is wonderful but they stopped putting as much cheese on their Pizza. So you have to order extra cheese just to make it look normal and taste normal. So I go to DiCarlo's in downtown Wheeling all the time now! It never disappoints they're always on time. They never make you wait 45 minutes after the time. You 've specified you wanted your order ready. They are awesome!
Classic pizza shop with a unique style of pizza. Great service ordering at the counter with the pizza served in boxes. Plenty of parking in the lot or on the side of the street out front. Good value for delicious pizza. The crunch of the crust is so satisfying as is the freshness of the grated cheese served cold on top.
This Wheeling original is still going strong. I’m not really a pizza fan, but something about the cold provolone that goes on after cooking really works for me.
Fantastic pizza!! similar to a place at home, but thinner and more of a crunch! Fantastic spot. If you go at lunch, order ahead. I waited 20-25 minutes for 3 slices, plain. I'm glad they dont use too much sauce, the crunchy crust and the cold cheese are the stars!!
Finally got the chane to check out the legendary DiCarlo's! I really enjoyed the 3 slice combo, & the kids loved rhe pepperoni rolls. I am a fan of the Ohio Valley Style pizza that we get closer to home at Beato's. Comparitvely, Dicarlo's has a smoother sauce with more thang, and a thinner crispier crust. I think the aize of the cut is a bit smaller than Beato's. Both are delicious if you're in the mood for Ohio Valley Style pie!
